Wrapping material SMS 6 PLUS

The SMS 6 PLUS single sheet made of polypropylene (SMS) is an extremely tear-resistant and durable sheet packaging that is ideal for all types of packaging. Made from several layers of high-quality spunbond and meltblown fibers, it offers an excellent combination of flexibility, drapability and an effective germ barrier.

Depending on requirements, SMS 6 PLUS can be used as a cost-effective solution for double packaging of sterile goods. The material is particularly absorbent, effectively absorbing and draining moisture, which helps the residual moisture to dry completely after sterilization.

We recommend that you create a double-packaging by two successive packaging operations. Only that way you will get efficient double packaging, which enables a bacterial count reduction during unpacking, ensuring an aseptic presentation.

With SMS 6 PLUS, you benefit from an innovative solution that combines a fully recyclable polypropylene plastic nonwoven (SMS) with maximum drying properties in STEAM sterilization. Yet SMS 6 PLUS is also suitable for sterilization with EO/FO gas or in H2O2 (hydrogen plasma) sterilizers, such as the STERRAD® system or the Steelco PL series.
